Dr. Blake Tomlin
Founder & Veterinarian
Dr. Blake Tomlin is the owner and Medical Director of Tomlin Family Pet Hospital and a dedicated small‑animal veterinarian with nearly a decade of experience caring for dogs and cats. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and has been practicing companion‑animal medicine ever since.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Tomlin has developed strong clinical interests in cardiology, nephrology, anesthesiology, and dentistry. As a general practitioner, he enjoys the wide variety of cases each day brings and takes pride in combining thorough diagnostics with thoughtful, individualized treatment plans. He is especially passionate about providing safe, carefully managed anesthetic experiences and helping pets live longer, healthier lives through proactive dental care and internal‑medicine-focused wellness.
As both a veterinarian and a hospital leader, Dr. Tomlin is deeply committed to delivering a fear‑free experience for every patient who walks through the door. He believes that minimizing stress and anxiety leads to better medicine, better outcomes, and a more positive visit for pets and their families alike. Equally important to him is supporting pet owners throughout the process—ensuring every visit feels smooth, clear, and compassionate so families feel informed, confident, and cared for at every step.

Holly Tomlin
Office Manager/Co-Founder
Holly Tomlin is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 30 years of business leadership experience. She owned and operated Tomlin Staffing for three decades and later co-owned a family real estate brokerage for 10 years, building a reputation for integrity, service, and strong community relationships. An active supporter of organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay and Tampa General Hospital, Holly is deeply committed to her community.
Today, she proudly serves as Co-owner of Tomlin Family Pet Hospital, working alongside Dr. Blake Tomlin to provide compassionate, fear-free care for families and their pets.
John Tomlin
Co-Founder
John Tomlin is the Co-owner of Tomlin Family Pet Hospital. After a distinguished 26-year career with AAA Auto Club South, culminating in his promotion to CEO in 2008 and merger with Auto Club Group in 2011, John retired in 2015. Driven by a desire to help their son, Blake, launch a compassionate, high-quality veterinary practice, John and his wife, Holly, co-founded the hospital, which is set to open in April 2026.
John and Holly are proud St. Petersburg residents who share their home with their Shih Tzu, Beau. They both enjoy spending time with their three children and five grandchildren.
Suzy Mesmer
Director of Marketing
Suzy Mesmer leads marketing and communications efforts that help connect clients with trusted care. She began her career in broadcast journalism, spending 15 years as a reporter and anchor before transitioning into marketing and public relations. Her work has included developing brand messaging, content, and outreach strategies that help organizations grow and strengthen relationships with the communities they serve. Suzy brings a thoughtful mix of innovative creativity, customer-service-focused strategy, and relationship-building to every project.
Brindy Minici
Licensed Veterinary Nurse
Brindy is a Licensed Veterinary Nurse with a strong academic foundation in veterinary medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology with a background in Clinical and Hospital Management.
She is deeply committed to supporting Tomlin Family Pet Hospital, together with patients and clients, by ensuring every animal receives the most compassionate and high-quality care. Her professional expertise includes hospital management, surgical assistance, and client education, with a focus on supporting pet owners to make informed and compassionate decisions regarding their pets’ well-being.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Brindy enjoys spending time with her family, her two dogs Kailani and Evie, two cats Thumbelina and Lola, and relaxing on or near the water.
